ROTARY DIE CUTTER AND PRINTING LINE

Our great experience has given birth to the highly innovative Line “Excalibur”. Excalibur is a new Rotary Die cutter, result of TEXO Industries research, projecting and experimentation.

Many innovations of the lines which grant important improvements in the running mechanic, in the electronic control and most of all in the printing quality.

The new Excalibur line allows to get high printingquality results also on coated board , with die cutting process in just one passage.

• The printing units are controlled by the kinematics of the transfer unit (with Master Motor). They are connected together by a single mechanical transmission and physically disconnected both from the feeding and from the die cutting unit. This allows the line to maintain a very high level of printing register, creating a fly-wheel that absorbs all the interferences caused by the working and the passage of the sheet.Three motors, slave motor,control the feeding unit. A motor, slave motor, controls the anvil cylinder and a sixth motor, again a slave motor, controls the die cutting cylinder allowing correction to the surface speed as the anvil covers wear through their life.

• Feeding unit with TEXO Industries-feed and feeding system with variable run according to the sheet high.
• Soft Drive vacuum transport system with perforated belts and elimination of the friction among the sheet and the conveyor plan with a suction pressure at the centre of the belts thanks to longitudinal holes.
• Closed chamber doctor blade in extruded aluminium mounted on a high resistance traverse.
• Printing units able to house a hot air dryer system.
• Transfer unit could also house a hot air dryer system.
• Nip control is achieved through high precision ballscrews, which are much more accurate than conventional eccentrics.

• All the regulations of the order change take place automatically.
• Die-holding cylinder equipped withRapid System for the rapid rotary die attachment .
• Print cylinder equipped with rapid stereo attachment and tensioning system.
• Automatic wash-up system.
• Overturning and extractable doctor blade for an easy cleaning and/or maintenance
• Extractable ink tank .
• Rapid changeover of the anilox roll.

The following solutions inherent in the design allow the compliance of security and environment laws:

• Centralised suction system for the soft drive transport . Throughducts positioned on top of each units the air is conveyed to a filtering cabin near the line , in order to have a better treatment of the air with dust.
• The kinematics transmission with timing belts, as opposed to gears achieves a drastic reduction of the noise levels.
• Soundproofing of the suction turbines.
